The shepherd's life, and the sheep's life, isn't the lovely poetic dream one could imagine when just passing by as a tourist or hiker.But it is also the free life of a man who is his own boss, among a community of similar hard working families, with its times of sadness, frustration, anger, despair almost, followed by moments of pure happiness and beauty.What makes this book so unique is that you never doubt the truth of any of it. Nothing has been prettified or omitted as not good enough for a book.I have learnt a lot from it about nature in that part of the world too, as I live far from it.

Because I love Ireland and most especially the landscape with the stone walls, sheep and old farms, it seemed essential that I read The Shepherd's Life. My grandfather was a veterinarian in Idaho back in the day, and reading of the impact of three generations working the land and animals similar to the way in which my grandfather did, it made an impression. The life of a shepherd is not easy. I found this book a great read about the real Lake District and the people who still care to protect their animals and a way of life that most of us know very little about and ought to respect more than we do. I read the book from my local library and wanted to have my own copy of it.

Wonderful and quite unique. School dropout to Oxford degree (essentially just to "show them that I wasn't dumb")., but after the degree back to the farm as quickly as he could. Highlights the complexity of an occupation many (including his former fellow schoolmates) look down upon as well as the tremendous satisfaction that balances the incredible amount of often very dirty, strenuous work required.

I loved this book, even the boring bits. It is such a man against nature, man with nature story. I was fascinated all the way and thoroughly recommend it to anyone who loves a good account of human endeavour, against the odds.

When he first approaches Lara, Connor knows that he will find a spoiled girl who is playing at revealing secrets or a woman who is trying to harm his friends. What he discovers instead is a woman who believes in the good in people and who wants to help others.It is was easy for me to fall a little in love with Connor. I love heroes who are wounded and have a darkness at their core. Connor is a good man who has had to do bad things for good reasons. The love of a good woman brings him into the light.Lara is not a character that I normally would like. She is fussy with her Vegan diet, her obsession with environmental and social issues. She did eventually win me over because her genuine concern and caring for others, her ultimate recognition of the complexity of the world and her ultimate complete acceptance of Connor showed her to be someone that I could like and see as a match for Connor.In less talented hands, these characters could have been caricatures. Instead, the story goes deep into these two people giving them depth and complexity and life.This series scares me a bit because I feel that it is one that I will want to re-read again and again, but so much depends upon the remainder of the series because these books are so intertwined.WORTH MENTIONING: I’m not a big fan of pets in books because they often are a distraction, but I loved Lara’s struggling Vegan dog Lincoln.CONNECTED BOOKS: SEDUCTION IN SESSION is the second book in The Perfect Gentlemen series. I cannot recommend a reader skip the first book, the stories build upon one another in the overarching story so just start at the beginning with this series. I love anything Lexi and Shayla write,their stories are always full of love and passion along with suspense and action. You will find yourself fully immersed in this phenomenal stories.Connor and Lara are different people but boy do they set off the sparks! I love where this series is taking you,the mystery and suspense plus the absolutely passion and protectiveness that comes with each Perfection Gentlemen.

Book 2 of the Perfect Gentlemen series is as hot as the first.Conner was the scholarship member of the group. He never quite felt like he belonged, but he would gladly give his life for any of his brothers.Lara wants to save the world, but can she forgive and save a man who betrayed her.Incredible series!!

I'm so invested in the espionage/ conspiracy portion of this series.... I'm constantly guessing the who, what, where, how, why of it all & each book has an ending that makes it hard to wait for the next in the series!As with each of the authors, I've come to love the characters, main & supporting, the storyline, romance & increasing tension leading to hot sex is always fun, LOL. Always love the witty lines & humor. Don't want to give anything away but have to quote just one:"Intimidation flowed from him like charisma off a really good politician."

Shayla Black and Lexi Blake are masters at writing sexy, sassy, and twisted stories. I love it. This series is turning out to be my favorite by them, and I simply can't wait for more. It's exciting, passionate, and draws you in. Love Lara and Connor, these two are combustible together, and I don't know which of the Perfect Gentlemen I prefer yet. I have a feeling they are all going down in history for me. Trust me, you don't want to miss this electrifying series!

Once again, Shayla Black and Lexi Blake deliver suspense, laughter, tears and hope....Looking forward to the 3rd installment of the series. I first met and fell in love with the Perfect Gentlemen in Scandal Never Sleeps. The mix of quirky and sensual characters is well developed. Dare I hope that Zack and Liz will get their own story? I'd love to see the series continue to include the story of each of the 5 remaining gentlemen.

This is the second book in The Perfect Gentlemen series. I would suggest you read Book 1 first. However, this book is fast paced and exciting with unexpected twists. This is Connor's story, and of the six Perfect Gentlemen, Connor is the most secretive and damaged. It is a great story, and it is well worth the read.

In book 1, Mad dies in a plane crash, Gabe falls for Everly; in book 2 the group is still mourning Mad and Conner falls for Lara; so how in the world does Mad come back alive in book 3 with no explanation? It’s like the order of the books is mixed up.

I devoured this book in one sitting. As a retail pharmacist, I obviously choose a career path where it's easy to forget the clinical impact we can have on our patients. This book gets you excited again. It reminds the reader of the several problems caused by medications and suggests simple solutions. The author reminds pharmacists of the unique lens through which we view healthcare, and he demonstrates how to think clinically and solve problems involving medication management.The only obvious complaint I see to this read is the way information is presented. Topics, for the most part, are completely out of order. However, I find the lack of organization to be this read's greatest strength. The book is not meant to be a comprehensive review of pharmacotherapy, but rather to provide real world examples that help some individuals (myself included) remember medication "pearls." The brain craves variety, so I find the typical pharmacy read will often lose my interest before I learn anything of significance. With this read, not only does the author have my attention, but the anxiety of returning to the book is greatly reduced when later sections of the book don't depend on information presented earlier. Great job and thank you for providing the pharmaceutical community with this gem!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about this author`s clinical experiences in his pharmacy practice. The topics he presented were well written and relatable. His real life stories reinforce not only what is important to scrutinize, verify, and document, but why. This book is like having a favorite pharmacy preceptor, but without having a university sending a bill for the privilege. I can't wait to read more of his work!

AMAZING textbook. Such clear descriptions and examples. Mostly pictures (since its an "atlas") but provides great explanation too. Easy to get through, for sure. Makes the combo of lecture and lab cohesive.

Been using this book for my Histology Course in Medical school. A lot of the notes that my teachers uses come from it. It is not only pictures like make other atlases, there is text to help teach you the material. Very well presented. A very good resource for any medical student looking to ace their histology exams.

Great writing, but the story gets a little lost in LGBTness. I really do enjoy Keegan Kennedy's writing.

The dynamics are great. The antagonist is interesting, that confrontation will be interesting. I was glad to here more about Andre, but I'm really interested in finding out about his fate.

Book 5 is even better than books 1 - 4. Very entertaining, exciting, and keeps keeps you on the edge of your seat. A real winner. Thank you, Keegan Kennedy.
