Looks pretty east to do hope that I can do this even with bad arthritis once I get the supplays I need that is

I have wanted to learn how to do braided rugs. I was give a large box of assorted material from an elderly lady that use to sew. The material is old fashion for making anything but it would be great for making braided rugs. I can't wait to get started. This is a great book and well written and very easy to understand.

This book provides very basic but clear explanations about how to make a braided rug and encourages the rewarding experience of expressively creating something by hand.

Wow, I love this series and most of all Mama Peach. This book was crazy.Mama Peach was asked by a friend to come to Australia. It started getting bad when their rental car broke down. Then a dangerous man picks them up an drops them in a deserted town. Now their in the outback in the heat. The gas station barely had power and no phone. Just a man with a barely working dune buggy. When they get to the friends house it starts down hill. He's dead and someone's start playing a deadly game with them. There's snakes, spiders, scorpions and a phantom people that has the people terrified. Now they have a choice to leave or die. Mama Peach decides neither but she's not leaving without answers.This book will not let you go to the end. It's edge of your seat action and suspense. I was terrified for them both. But I loved the story.I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion.

Alina met Carson and they became best friends during their early years in school. Carson became the town Sheriff and meets a young Lady new to town and ends up married to her and his friendship with Alina slips by the wayside. Alina is courted by a young man that has come to town and she concludes that if he asks her to marry him that she'll accept since she's had to give up Carson who now also has a daughter. Unbeknownst to Alina, her suitor has ties to the outlaws that have been terrorizing the towns in the area. Things take a terrifying twist after Carson arrests him and he's sent to prison, because the leader of the outlaws is his brother and the only other surviving member of their family. The gang holds up the Saloon and takes hostages. The leader and two of his men escape from the net devised by the Sheriff's men and make it back to their hideout. The plot thickens when Alina is kidnapped by the outlaws and the demand that his brother be released in trade for her. It creates quite a dilemma for the Sheriff because he knows how dangerous the situation could become if the prisoner gains his freedom. Carson had already lost his wife, daughter and friends to the outlaws crime spree and doesn't want to lose Alina too. Read the book and find out how Carson handles the dilemma and how the gang is captured and how he has resolved the mending of his heart. I think that you'll enjoy this book as much as I have.

This was an excellent story about "the one who got away" that was redeemed in the end for a HEA. Alina's father owed the town saloon and she, being 18, helped him by working in the kitchen, cleaning and keeping the books. She was shunned by some of the townspeople because a lady wouldn't work in such a place. To Alina, it was a business that supported her and her 2 siblings. She loved her childhood best friend who was the Sheriff but a bit older. Their lives took different paths though. When Alina's mother died, she took on the responsibility of raising her siblings and Carson married a newcomer to the town. A gang of outlaws pulled a bank robbery with tragic consequences. Alina found out that a man who was courting her was in a gang who was terrorizing the area. There's much suspense following a saloon robbery and a kidnapping. This book will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. There's also an extended epilogue that takes place about 6 years later to round out the story.I received an ARC from the author; this my voluntary review. Thanks Lorelei!

OMG! Wow! I'll get it out eventually. Maybe. Lorelei totally nailed this bad boy 100% on point with so many emotions it kept me riveted and frozen to my seat. I couldn't put this little jewel down had I wanted to. All the drama, fear, heartache, mystery and suspense builds while tension spirals. This is one amazing storylines with an incredibly strong plot that brings this read together perfectly. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that make for one thrilling experience. All the trials and tribulations, hope, uncertainty, loss and love make this one outstanding reads that you won't want to miss. The characters are complex and believable with such depth and individuality it's easy to relate. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Lorelei brought it with this amazing tale and swiftly bringing this read roaring to life flawlessly. Remarkable job Lorelei, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.I received a review copy of this story.

This book was about Alina who had to raise her brother and sister after her mom died. She had to give up her dreams of being a teacher and help her father run their saloon. Her childhood friend the Sheriff marries another woman but when the woman and his child are murdered in a bank robbery he becomes obsessed with saving the town while drowning in his grief. When Alina becomes kidnapped by a dangerous gang he finally realizes how much he cares for her. There were plenty of twists and turn, action and adventures. I enjoyed the characters and the various relationships of the townspeople. However I hated all the flip flopping from present to different points in the past. It was often confusing and hard to follow. I love this author but this was my least favorite of her books. It was hard to keep track of the different time lines. I think it could have been handled smoother.

Alina has had several disappointments she wanted to become a teacher but then her mother dies and she has to seek work with her father who owns a saloon and the townspeople dont like her because of this even the man she loved since childhood married someone else. And when she thinks her life is going somewhere she has a suitor now and could possibly get married but he turns out to be a criminal who has robbed a bank and now his gang has taken her hostage.Carson the town Sheriff has made it his mission to bring bank robbers to justice there a reminder of the loss of his wife and child and now another gang has taken his childhood friend captive he will have to save her especially since he relizes the depth of his feelings for her. This book has danger and suspense with a HEA a clean western historical read.

This is a serious and deep story about two childhood friends. Their back story is not a happy one, but their love for each other is deeper than they realize. Neither one ends up happy with the mate that they chose. The West can be a dark and dangerous place, and revenge seems to be in the air. The emotional impact wasn't as great as I thought it could be, and Carson seemed lost in his guilt and pain, instead of being the sheriff he promised himself he wanted to be. I loved Alina; she was so torn by duty and what she truly wanted from life. Even so, she is a strong woman with a strong character, understanding life doesn't always turn out the way you want, but living with what you have the best you can.

Carr likes to pair couples that seem unlikely at first but ultimately fit together perfectly even with all the twists and turns life throws at you. Read at your own peril, because it will only make you hungry for more in the series!

This book is the best one yet in the series and I loved the other three!!! I could barely put it down. The two romances and the young girl with thehead problem were moving me along to read faster. I plan to start st the beginning of the series and reread them all again next!

What she didn’t expect was to fall for him. Just when she thinks everything has settled in nicely, though, something happens that changes their lives and forces them to make plans. Plans that will have to take into account Rob’s teenage sons, Leigh’s aunt, and the unexpected logistics of their combined lives.What will they realize about how the plans they already had were not necessarily the best ones for them, and that they can find joy in unexpected places? A delightful read that reunited me with old friends in a lovely setting. There were predictable moments, but I enjoyed them all. 4.5 stars.

Not my favorite of Robyn Carr's books, no matter which series is involved. This one drags on and is a bit insipid, with nothing really very interesting happening (I'm halfway through the book) and too many different relationships going on. And too many different characters. Nothing at all exciting in a positive way, either.The sad part is when a young lady has a brain tumor and something so extremely significant is played down to merely being a small part of the story. Come on! How do you write about something so awful for a few minutes, then simply jump back to various relationships as though they're anywhere near as important? You DON'T.This novel is nowhere near being one of Robyn Carr's best books.

Wow.Forgive me, but I’m a little overwhelmed.I have read and studied a great deal of Alison Weir’s historical accounts and biographies regarding the English monarchy, ranging from the War of the Roses to Katherine Parr. I love how she does her best to show all sides of the story and to remain as true to the facts as absolutely possible. While in her other historical works she does wander into the realm of speculation on occasion, she allows her readers to know just when she does and provides them with multiple view points so the reader can make their own informed opinions. However, it was Weir’s absolute concern with the facts that made me unsure whether or not she would be able to write a good historical fiction novel. While I knew it would be close to the truth as any fiction book could be, I did not know how Weir’s style would translate into the realm of fiction.She definitely assured me, with this book, that there was nothing to worry about at all. I was right when I thought Weir would stick to the facts, but she wrote beautifully and elegantly, carefully incorporating actual dialogue and written letters to craft an engaging tale of the first, and true, wife of King Henry VIII. Told in third person limited, readers only see the story and facts as from Katherine’s point of view. We see her arrival to England as the Infanta and her transition from Princess of Wales to Queen of England to the discarded wife of a King enthralled with another. All the facts are there, but set forth in such a manner that makes the reader absolutely sympathetic towards Katherine’s cause. Though Anne Boleyn is present, she is not seen much more than a lurking, angry figure in the distant reaches of London. This makes me so much more eager to read the next volume in which Anne Boleyn’s story will be encapsulated.The book was quite hard to read in places; not because it was dull or that it was hard, but because there is just such raw emotion. By the end of the book I had finally cried. Katherine’s story is not a happy one, though it does have many happy moments. Her story is one of hardship and unwavering conviction. I could not help but be moved by the strength of this woman in her beliefs and the kindness that overflowed her heart. If you read this book, bring a box of tissues along with you. By the end, you’ll need it.

Since this is based on history, much of the story is predictable to those familiar with this time period and Tudor history. Alison Weir, however, does a great job fleshing out the major characters with some invented dialogue most of which is based on facts taken from actual letters written by them. This book really makes Kathrine come alive as a person with complex emotions and conflicting loyalties. It also does a good job of giving life to some more obscure but relevant characters such as Kathrine's sister, the "Mad Queen, Juanna." I felt that I understood Katherine's thinking and motivation much better having read this book. At times the book seems to drag but that is because Katherine's life was defined by lengthy delays, first in her marriage to Henry the Eighth and then as she awaited a ruling by the Pope regarding the validity of this same marriage. I can only imagine what it must have been like to actually live in this world of communication delivered by horse. It's a good read for anyone who wants a better understanding of Henry's first wife, The True Queen.

Since she's one of my favorite authors, I've read several of Weir's non-fiction books, and all but one of her fictional accounts of English queens. This was good, as a historical novel in general, but I thought it felt like someone else wrote it. The language is more modern, and I have not seen Weir do that before; it was strange. I seriously wonder if a ghost writer did this. It's an excellent mix of history and fiction, and the portrayal of Katherine of Aragon is well done.

I JUST LOVED THIS BOOK. I MUST ADMIT I HAD TO GET THE KLEENEX OUT WHEN I GOT FURTHER INTO THE BOOK. SUCH A SWEET LADY TO BE TREATED SO BAD BY HENRY 8 JUST SO HE COULD HAVE ANN BOLYN.I LEARNED ALOT FROM THIS BOOK THAT I DID NOT KNOW. I LOVE ENGLISH HISTORY. BUT HER DEATH JUST TORE ME UP, AND TO NOT BE ABLE TO SEE HER DAUGHTER, WELL I WANTED TO TAKE A SKILLET TO HENRY'S HEAD AND KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO HIM. BUT THIS IS A VERY WELL WRITTEN BOOK. I HIGHLY RECAMEND IT.

I love Allison Weir. I delved right into this book with high expectations. We meet Katherine before she even sets sail for England. The first third of this book was really slow for me. A lot of time was spent during the voyage, the marriage to Arthur and her time locked away before she finally married Henry. In true Weir style, I was emerged in what Katherine must have felt. I got bored with this part though, ready to move on. I actually stopped reading it for awhile and decided to pick it up again. I have a hard time not finishing a book I’ve started. I’m so glad I came back to it! It really picked up once she married Henry. The detail was perfect and I felt like I was there. I’m reading the second book now and the third is in my library!

I’m not sure I’m going to be able to finish this, which is really unfortunate because it started so well. I’m about halfway through and for the last several chapters, it has been many pages of really the same thing- especially during the chapters where Katherine of Aragon was waiting to marry Henry. I found myself skimming and skipping paragraphs just to keep going. Once she was married, things picked up and it got interesting again but for the last few pages it’s has been paragraph after paragraph of the same.I have liked everything I’ve ever picked up by Allison Weir but this is not her best work. I’m scared to buy the Jane Seymour installment.

The book is well-researched, but the characters have little depth, perhaps due to the fact that they are based on historical figures. I found the book to move extremely slowly, and had to trudge my way through it. I was excited for the series, yet after reading this first novel, I am hesitant to continue on due for the reasons above.
