As a collector of Breyer models since the age of 8, I am now a dealer of Vintage Breyer products. Until this book came along, trying to find information about the variations of each model, years run, and general range of value was frustrating, to say the least. This book is an answer to any serious collector's prayers. Very easy to read, the information is neatly organized and there are color photos for each item, with fairly accurate guesstimates of each item's value. Unfortunately though, there were 5 editions made of this guide and they are all no longer in print; available only as used books or as downloadable e-books from the publishing company.
An excellent reference book for Breyer collectors! Very concise and detailed and the best ever made.I wish she would have continued this series.

Got this for someone who has collected some Breyer Horses and wanted to see what some of them are worth. He has found several that he has in the book. It is very detailed.

I think the printers didn't get the ink right in this book because the colors seem "not quite right". There are a few more models listed, but probably not enough to warrent purchasing this one over the previous version.

For Breyer collectors, this book is an absolute must. The current edition, released in August 2002, is so up-to-date that it includes the 2002 mid-year releases in its valuation guide. Photographs of molds and models in different finishes make identifying "which one is mine" very easy, and the documentation is interesting to read. Breyer collectors will certainly benefit from having this item on their bookshelves.
